Sulawesi
An assertive coffee with a heavy body and creamy texture, Sulawesi is precious and in great demand. Many coffee tasters use words like “herbal” and “spicy” to describe the complex flavor present in the best Sulawesi coffees. Most of the coffee Starbucks purchases from Sulawesi comes from a region called Torajaland.

Key term: Elegant

Geography is a flavour You can tell a lot about a coffee if you know where it’s from. Coffees from Asia are popular for their full body and mellow, earthy flavours. Coffees from the Pacific islands are typically lively with herbal undertones.

Food Pairing Recommendations

The texture of Sulawesi blends well with rich, creamy cheese and sweet, buttery caramel. There is very little acidity in this coffee so try it with crisp apples and pears for contrast.

Origin Notes
